I visited dubai few years back for five days with my family. Though five days is not enough to cover all the places in dubai. We tried our best to visit the best attractions in this short trip.
- Day 1: Dubai mall,Burj khalifa & dubai fountain
- Day 2: Dubai frame,Spice and Gold souq market,Dhow cruise
- Day 3: Jumeirah Burj al arab,Dessert safari
- Day 4: Abu dhabi sightseeing,Seikh zayed mosque
- Day 5: Ferrari world
Dubai mall :
Dubai mall is the largest mall in the world and it covers the largest area. worlds largest destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure. there is also the excellent Dubai Aquarium and ice skating rink, indoor theme park and 120 screen cinema.
The main attraction of a Dubai trip is a visit to the tallest building on the earth. Standing at a height of 828 meters, the mighty Burj Khalifa. It won’t be the tallest one for very long though as its two biggest competitors Saudi Arabia and Qatar are currently building two brand new towers which will be taller than Burj Khalifa. take in the view from either the 125th or 148th floor and you’ll gain a new perspective on Dubai. Its best to buy a tickets for the Burj Khalifa online in advance to save money and skip the queue.
Back on the ground, make your way outside as the sun sets to take in the world renowned Dubai fountain show. the jets of water dancing to the beats of the music forming various shapes and pattern is just spectacular. the shows runs every 30 minutes and you can book 30 minutes cruise by traditional “abra” water taxi on burj lake to see the gorgeous fountain show from water.
Dubai Frame is “the biggest picture frame on the planet”. Situated at a height of 150-meter-high, 93-meter-wide structure offers stunning views of the old Dubai on one side with smaller and older buildings, mostly residential and small-scale commercial complexes and of New Dubai on the other side where you can witness the futuristic city that Dubai grew to be with high rise building, superior infrastructure, and wide roads.
Spice and Gold Souk
If you are into jewelry and gold, thi souk sells some of the cheapest gold in the world. It has hundreds of shops that sell gold, diamond, and other precious jewelry, dried fruits, spices and herbs. souk is a popular destination for shopping and photography.
Dhow Cruise is a traditional Arab boat sailing along the canal with mesmerizing views of the Dubai Marina. Depend on the tour you select, there could be add-one such as entertainment dance shows named tanoura dance and buffet dinner. I recommend don’t go for Dhow Cruise it’s completely time waste.
No one comes to Dubai WITHOUT going on a Desert Safari as it is a thrilling and a fun activity. It could be 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the tour you choose. In real land rover you will literally go up and down just like in a video game. Our tour included a photo stop and sand boarding activity in the middle of desert and of course a camel ride. Once we entered the camp. there were couple of activities such as Photo with a Falcon, Traditional Arab Clothing, and Heena Painting. there were some entertainment shows included a Fire Show, very popular Belly Dance Show and Tanura Dance Show. The dinner provided very few variety for veg food.
Jumeirah Burj Al Arab
From the Jumeirah public beach, you get stunning views of one of the most luxurious hotel in the world, Burj Al Arab. This 7 star hotel offers Arab and international foods of the highest quality and enjoy the great views of sea. This is a great place to photograph the hotel against the blue water and the white sand.
Abu Dhabi Sightseeing
Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates, is home to the famous Ethiad Towers, the must watch Sheikh Zayed Mosque and the luxurious Emirates Palace. It is located about 140 kms away from Dubai and can be easily reached in 1.5 – 2 hours.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque
This is one of the largest mosques, with the largest hand-knotted carpet and the largest chandelier in the world. truly the mosque is a white beauty. There are intricate floral designs on the walls and the floors of the mosque. The pool outside the mosque reflects the columns and arches of the mosque.
Ferrari world is something we couldn’t miss during Abu Dhabi trip. Thankfully Yas Island Rotana was gracious enough to provide us complimentary tickets during our stay at their hotel. The indoor park showcased spectacular collections of unique Ferrari models and the world’s fastest roller coaster. One of the advantages of coming early is that you don’t have to wait for longer queues to enjoy the rides. We almost tried all the rides, except those scary ones like Flying Aces and Turbo Track. I love that the Ferrari World has a replica of the streets in Italy. It gives a vibe like as if you really are in Italy. The place is very charming and Instagrammable too. So if you are not into luxury sports cars then imagine yourself exploring Italy by taking a lot of pictures.
